Marijo was born in the area and lived in Bushnell as a small child. Her family moved to California when she was three, Tennessee when she was 12, and the Salt Lake City area when she was 14. Just before her senior year of high school, her family moved back to Bushnell. Marijo graduated from Bushnell-Prairie City High School and received her B.S. from Western Illinois University in 1978. Eric is originally from Canada. His family owned a small farm in North Hatley, Quebec and moved to Winnipeg , Manitoba when he was seven years old. One of his first jobs was trotting the horses at the neighboring thoroughbred race track. Eric went to college in Winnipeg and graduated in business administration. Eric became a CPA in 1979. Both Marijo and Eric love seeing the changing of the seasons from the planting in the Spring through the harvest in the Fall.
